The Solicitor’s Disciplinary tribunal recently dismissed a prosecution of a conveyancing solicitor for alleged failure to give adequate advice to buyers of units in buyer-funded developments as having no basis in law. The Tribunal departed from the ordinary rule and ordered the SRA to pay the solicitor’s costs. Richard Senior has prepared the following note here.
