About Graham Vaughan

Graham has had more than 30 years’ experience in the Lloyd’s and Company Insurance Markets and has previously worked for both leading Lloyd’s Brokers and Law firms.  He has experience handling Professional Indemnity claims across a wide range of professions.  He has a proactive approach to the handling of claims, attempting to resolve them as cost effectively as possible within his delegated authority, appointing panel solicitors where required and working with them to achieve the best outcome.  He maintains a consistent application of the insurer client’s claims and reserving policy so that claims are dealt with fairly, costs are properly controlled and he takes a pro-active approach to investigation, ADR and negotiation to avoid unnecessary litigation.

During Graham’s earlier career whilst working for Insurance Brokers he mainly specialised in resolving claims against Solicitors and Accountants, liaising with clients, underwriters and their representatives where needed.  Whilst working for Law firms Graham has acted on behalf of various underwriters, taking ownership of end-to-end claims handling including investigation, negotiation and/or conduct of defence. He has gained a broad range of expertise over various professions with particular emphasis on the Construction Industry, such as Architects and Engineers.  Graham also once completed a successful secondment to a large insurer client where he handled claims against Financial Advisers, Brokers’ E&O and International cases over various professions.  Graham has previously been the TPA Claims Manager at a London Law firm.
